Terms and Conditions of GP Conference Hamilton Island
- Introduction
These terms and conditions (“Terms”) apply to the General Practice Medical Conference (“Conference”) to be held at Hamilton Island. By registering for and/or attending the Conference, you (“Participant”) agree to comply with these Terms.
- Registration
2.1. Registration Process: All Participants must complete the registration process through the official Conference website or designated registration platform (Eventbrite)
2.2. Payment: Full payment of the registration fee is required to confirm attendance. Payment can be made via credit card, bank transfer, or other accepted methods as specified on the registration form.
2.3. Confirmation: Upon successful registration and payment, Participants will receive a confirmation email. This confirmation must be presented at the Conference registration desk.
- Cancellation and Refunds
3.1. Cancellation by Participant: Cancellations must be made in writing to the Conference organisers. The following refund policies apply: • Cancellations received up to 60 days before the Conference: Full refund minus a processing fee. • Cancellations received 30-59 days before the Conference: Credit Note for future conferences. • Cancellations received less than 30 days before the Conference: No refund.
3.2. Cancellation by Organizers: The organisers reserve the right to cancel the Conference due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, a full refund of the registration fee will be issued to Participants.
- Conference Program
4.1. Changes to Program: The organisers reserve the right to make changes to the Conference program, including speakers, topics, and schedule, without prior notice.
4.2. Substitution Policy: If a registered Participant is unable to attend, they may nominate a substitute to attend in their place. Notification of substitution must be provided in writing.
- Conduct and Safety 5.1. Code of Conduct: Participants are expected to behave in a professional and respectful manner. Harassment, discrimination, and disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
5.2. Health and Safety: Participants must comply with all health and safety guidelines and protocols as directed by the Conference organisers and venue management.
- Privacy and Data Protection
6.1. Personal Information: The personal information provided during registration will be used for Conference-related purposes, including communication about the event.
6.2. Photography and Recording: By attending the Conference, Participants consent to being photographed and recorded. These materials may be used for promotional purposes by the organisers.
- Liability 7.1. Disclaimer: The organisers are not responsible for any personal injury, loss, or damage to property occurring during the Conference.
7.2. Insurance: Participants are advised to arrange their own travel and health insurance.
- Intellectual Property
8.1. Content: All materials presented at the Conference are protected by copyright and may not be reproduced without permission from the respective authors and organisers
- Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Hamilton Island is located.
